Virtual Exhibition and Conservation Using Photogrammetry @ MoMA

Working with the curatorial team at the Museum of Modern Art, myself and Seth Cluett made a virtual reality experience of the David Tudor installation as part of the new section of MoMA opening this past October. This project was a mix of digital conservation along with finding new forms to present works to a larger audience that otherwise would not be able to experience the installation. I handled the 3D for this project taking photogrammetry scans of the entire space capturing not only the objects but the room and lighting of the space while Seth captured spacial audio in …

Head to Panama for Digital Naturalism Conference

I’m headed to Panama this August to with Nancy Nowacek to create an audio and 3D scan library of various jungle flora and other non-human components of the local landscape using a DSLR and photogrammetry software Capturing Reality. We will use this library in a project that redistributes the Panamanian jungle to other locations around the world via an app free to download via Itunes and Google play in order to provoke conversation around climate change and the Anthropocene, biodiversity and species extinction, anthropocentric beliefs, and behaviors. More info about the conference here:

Finally, we have some time and space for ourselves to ponder about what passed and what will happen after the summer. The works of the exhibition create private immersive moments and reflect on personal lives and social states of being. Bianca Kennedyennedy, Faith Holland and Tamiko Thiel Thiel speculate on what it could mean to share private spaces, on intimately caring about digital devices and on adapting to new conditions of our surroundings.
