Scholars’ Stones

These small sculptures were created in the tradition of scholars’ rocks or viewing stones using many different digital 3D modeling techniques ranging from 3D scanning, tablet sculpting, and CAD 3D modeling. These objects are made to reflect the means and digital environment from which they come.

The cabinet is comprised of the original top section with the two outer glass panes replaced with two-way mirror panels. The bottom base section of the cabinet is a copy of the original cast in dyed aqua resign with plastic cast handles and concrete cast feet.
